Tour operators named Turkey's most popular resort in Russia

The forecasts appeared in the Turkish press, that Kemer will get 40-45% of the tourist flow to the Antalya province at the end of this summer season. However, the data of Russian tour operators indicate that this season another resort on the Antalya coast is leading in terms of the number of bookings among Russians.

The head of the Kemer Region Promotion Fund (KETAB) Volkan Yorulmaz told that if the Kemer region previously received about 30% of the total tourist flow to Antalya province, now this share will grow to 40-45% due to the large share of open hotels. Mr. Yorulmaz bases his forecasts on the growing activity of the German and Russian markets.

But according to Russian tour operators, the distribution of real bookings at Antalya resorts has not yet demonstrated the leadership of Kemer.

Tour operators emphasize that it is too early to make forecasts for the entire summer season in Turkey, which will be obviously prolonged until November. In Pegas Touristik, the data on arrivals in Turkey and reservations until the end of August show that the regions of Kemer, Antalya + Belek, Side and Alanya occupy approximately equal shares of the tourist traffic.

The tour operator Anex Tour has Alanya (with 27% in sales) in the first place until the end of August, followed by Side (26%) and then only Kemer and Belek.

According to 6 leading tour operators, the leadership of Kemer is not yet visible (although many companies have it in the second place).

But Alanya is on the top in terms of bookings among four major players this August. As it is noted in the companies, this was due to the traditionally lower prices for hotels at this resort.

Experts note that after a period of restrictions and quarantine, the price for holiday plays a huge role in preferences of Russian tourists - many of them lost in income.
