Every second foreign tourist arrives in Antalya from Russia
Turkey has calculated how many Russians arrived in Antalya in the first three days since the launch of Russian charters. As it turned out, every second tourist arriving at the main Turkish resort in recent days is a citizen of the Russian Federation.
Just over three days since the launch of charter flights, Russia has become the undisputed leader in the number of tourist arrivals in Antalya. According to the authorities of the tourist province, from 10 to 12 August Antalya received 63 thousand Russian tourists from all types of flights (regular and charter).
First day since the restart of charters, 23 thousand people arrived on flights from the Russian Federation, on August 11 - 22 thousand people, on August 12 - almost 18 thousand people. Only on Wednesday, August 12, 55 flights arrived in Antalya from the Russian Federation. This is almost a third of all international flights served by the airport.
In total, about 34 thousand foreign tourists arrived in Antalya on Wednesday. Thus, every second foreign traveler who arrived in Antalya on August 12 turned out to be Russian.
Today the flow of tourists from Russia is three times ahead of the number of tourists from Ukraine, 8 times - from Germany and Great Britain, 9 times - from Poland.
As of the current date, the flights to Turkey are allowed only from three cities of Russia: Moscow, St. Petersburg and Rostov-on-Don.
According to Russian tour operators, sales of Turkey will reach planned volumes in the next 2-3 weeks.
