The tourists flow from Russia to Antalya reached a historic high in 2017

“3,376 million Russian tourists visited Antalya in January-September 2017, which became a record for tourist traffic from Russia for the entire time of tourist exchanges”, - Gunes (Turkish edition) reports. Earlier the most successful for the Russian market in Antalya was 2014, when the resort was visited by 3.307 million tourists from Russia. As of September 30, 2017 the number of Russians who visited Antalya exceeded this figure. At the same time, by the number of arrivals Russians are confidently leading among other countries. The Ukrainian market also showed significant growth in comparison to the last year after the tourists from Germany and Russia. The number of tourists from Ukraine increased by 42% against January-September 2016 and amounted almost 635 thousand people. “Totally from January to September Antalya was visited by 7.45 million foreign tourists”, - the newspaper writes. According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, in January-August 2017 the country was visited by 3.333 million Russian tourists, which is 10 times higher than in the same period of the last year. The total number of foreign tourists who visited Turkey for eight months amounted 21.984 million, which is 26.4% more than the result of the same period in 2016.
