The Russian tourist flow to Israel grew by almost 50% for 9 months of 2017
“Over 282,000 Russian tourists visited Israel from January to September 2017, which is 46% more than in the same period a year earlier”, - reported the press service of the country's tourism ministry on Thursday. "The flow of tourists from Russia to Israel is growing throughout the year 2017 and in September even exceeded the figures of 2015. In the first month of autumn the country was visited by 39.3 thousand Russians, which is 31% more than in the same period of 2016, and 6% more than in 2015. For 9 months of this year the tourist flow amounted 282.4 thousand of travelers, which is 46% more than in the last year", - the ministry said. The number of tourists from other foreign countries is also growing. In September 2017 Israel was visited by 300,000 travelers from all over the world (including one-day tourists and cruise liners), which is 6% more than in the last year. The TOP 3 includes the tourists from the United States, Russia and France, "but the growth rate of Russian tourist traffic significantly exceeds another one’s of the TOP 3", - the report said.
