Thailand lifted restrictions for Russian tourists
From February 1, all provinces of Thailand will become available to Russian vaccinated tourists. Demand is increasing, tour operators say, commenting on Thailand's COVID-19 Situation Management Center's decision to extend the Test&Go program to all foreign travelers.
At a briefing of the CCSA (Thai COVID-19 Situation Management Center) on January 20, the decision was announced to resume the Test & Go program, which allows fully vaccinated foreign tourists to make holidays without quarantine in any province of the Kingdom on the second day of their stay in the country.
Moreover, foreign tourists from any country will now be able to relax according to the Test & Go program. The date of the introduction of the new rule is February 1, 2022 9:00 am (Thai time).
Thus, from February 1, Russian tourists will be able to relax in any province of Thailand without quarantine on the second day of their stay in the country.
The first day, according to the conditions of the Test&Go program, tourists have to spend in a pre-booked SHA ++, AQ, OQ or AHQ hotel. After that they can travel all over Thailand. But tourists will need to return to the SHA ++ hotel in any province on the 5-th day of stay in Thailand to receive the PCR test result.
As the Tourism Authority of Thailand explained, if the result is negative, travelers are free to travel anywhere in Thailand.
