There are package tours to the resorts of Egypt on the market both on the basis of direct tourist transportation and connecting flights.

The tour operator Fun & Sun (former Tui Russia) announced the launch of a flight program to the resorts of Egypt on regular flights of the Egyptian national airline EgyptAir.

After the restart of the flight program, EgyptAir's first Cairo-Moscow flight arrived at Domodedovo on April 15 and flew back with passengers from the Russian capital.

Russian tourists still have a choice. They can go on vacation to Turkey, Egypt, the Caribbean, North Africa, Southeast Asia, as well as Belarus, Armenia and Abkhazia.

The tour operator Biblio-Globus expands the geography of flights to Turkey and Egypt. Flights from St. Petersburg are added to the flight programs from Moscow.

Tours with direct flights from Moscow to Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh appeared on the web-site of the tour operator Biblio-Globus.

In March, the prices for tours to Turkey have increased by more than 80% compared to mid-February.

S7 was forced to partially reduce the flight program due to the imposed sanctions and cancel some flights to international destinations, the carrier's telegram channel reported on March 3. The adjustments affected Egypt, Thailand and South Korea.

Charter programs of tour operators to Turkey and Egypt continue to be implemented. The crisis did not affect flights to other eastern destinations.

Royal Flight Airlines opens charter flights on the Voronezh - Hurghada (Egypt) route. The first flight from Hurghada is scheduled for December 28.

The tour operator Coral Travel and Rixos hotel chain are launching a joint program that could become the beginning of a new trend on the Russian travel market.

Another 50 regular flights to Egyptian resorts have been agreed at the state level. This number includes also flights of tour operator’s air carriers.

In sales of the November holidays’ tours Egypt was in the first place. Turkey was in the second place. The third place was taken by the UAE. Also, the Dominican Republic, Maldives, Cuba, Mexico, Hungary and Cyprus are in high demand.

Tui Russia, announced the expansion of the flight program to Egypt. In total, from November it is planned to fly to Hurghada from 31 cities of Russia, and to Sharm el-Sheikh - from 30 ones.

From November 9, the Operational Headquarters removes all restrictions on regular and charter flights to Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh. Also, restrictions on air traffic with Austria, Switzerland, Finland and the United Arab Emirates were lifted. New destinations opened, including Thailand and Tunisia.

Representatives of the tour operators said that, after President Vladimir Putin announced a non-working week in November, sales of tours to Turkey and Egypt have grown by 30 - 35%.

For the nine months of 2021, Russians made 5,24 million trips to open and popular countries for the purpose of tourism. The volume of outbound tourist traffic is far behind the indicators of 2019.

Azur Air, the airline of the tour operator Anex Tour, has started flights to Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh. The geography of departures has been published on the web site of the company.

In September, demand for international trips was 25–40% greater than in the same time the previous year, sales growth depend on the destination.

Aeroflot Airlines announced the start of a flight program from Moscow to Egyptian resorts since October 1. Direct flights to Sharm El Sheikh and Hurghada operate daily.

Egypt could become the top destination for Russian tourists this winter season. The number of Russians tourists from August to the end of the year can reach half a million.

The tour operator Intourist has put up for sale package tours on S7 airline’s flights to Hurghada and Sharm el-Sheikh from Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Samara and Ufa.
