Prices for tours to Turkey and Egypt increased by more than 80%

According to the statistics of the travel agency network 1001 Tour, the average check of a package tour to Turkey at the end of February was only 616 Euros (for 10 days, AI, two persons, at a 3* hotel).

As per the results of monitoring the booking systems of tour operators, conducted on March 16, the minimum cost of a tour to Turkey for 10 days with a departure in the coming days is 1 060 Euros for two persons. It is clear that the prices for tours to Turkey have increased by more than 80% compared to mid-February.

For holidays at Turkish hotels of 4* and 5* categories tourists will have to pay even more. So, for a tour for two persons to Turkey (4* hotel, AI) with a departure on March 19 for 7 (not 10) nights, tour operators ask 1 500 Euros, at a 5* hotel – 1 540 Euros.

A tour to Egypt for 10 days for two persons at a 3* hotel, AI, at the end of February could be bought for 680 Euros.

The same tour to Egypt with a departure in the coming days already costs 1 130 Euros. (minimum price). This is a 65% increase. We emphasize that we are talking here only about the cheapest offers.

The main reason for the rise in prices is the depreciation of the ruble against world currencies. It should be recorded, that tour operators pay hotels in euros (in Turkey) and in dollars (in Egypt).
