Such a development of the situation is not ruled out by Lyubitsa Alushitsova, director of the foreign representative office for tourism of the Slovak Republic in Russia.
On May 20, the last (fourth), stage of cancelation of restrictions started in Slovakia, the country with the lowest disease rate in the EU -5 deaths per million inhabitants.
With the beginning of the last quarantine removal phase, an increasing number of hotels are gradually resuming operation. Restaurants are already allowed to work, including at hotels. Pools and water parks are gradually opening.
“Now the country is working on safe tourism protocols. The European Commission, in turn, is developing a tourism restoration project until 2050,” says Ms. Alushitsova.
In the immediate plans of Slovakia is to open the borders for the European Union, the dates of the opening of borders for citizens of third countries, including Russia, is not yet possible to predict precisely.
“We can only assume that Russian tourists, of course, in the case of a positive epidemiological situation in both countries, will be able to come to Slovakia at the end of July. These are the dates which are considered by Russian airlines to begin the gradual restoration of flights abroad,” added Alushitsova.
To date, according to the monitoring of airlines ticket aggregators, tickets from Moscow to Bratislava at the end of July - beginning of August are offered by several Russian airlines - Aeroflot, Pobeda, S7, Ural Airlines and others. The price of RT flight starts from 180 Euros.
This year, Wizz Air airline announced flights from St. Petersburg to Bratislava.
