Sales of tours to Turkey have fully recovered after the earthquake
Demand for tours to Turkey has fully recovered. The most active Russians are booking tours for the May holidays, according to travel companies.
"Bookings for tours to Turkey have returned to their previous average daily rates. For arrival dates until March 8, inclusive, all blocks of seats to Antalya are closed. Antalya resorts and tours to Istanbul on charter flights are also well booked," the press service of the tour operator Intourist said.
As the company noted, there is already an increased demand for tours with arrivals during the May holidays.
Fun&Sun also reported about the restoration of demand for tours to Turkey. "Demand has recovered, bookings are active, since Turkey is a traditionally popular destination for Russians. In addition, natural disasters did not affect the regions where Russian tourists make holidays," the tour operator's press service explained.
As per the tour operator, the depth of booking tours to Turkey has reached autumn.
Yulia Rudenko, deputy managing director of Sletat.ru group of companies, said that the earthquake in Turkey led to a dramatic drop of sales, but demand for tours has quickly recovered.
