Turkey expects about 6 million Russians in 2023

Based on the current year's booking statistics, Turkey expects an increase of the number of tourists from Russia. Cultural and Tourism Attache of the Turkish Embassy in Russia, Ilker Ozkan, announced preliminary data on the tourist flow for 2022 and gave a forecast for 2023.

According to the information from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, which was announced by Mr. Ilker Ozkan, in 2022 more than 5 million 200 thousand tourists from Russia visited Turkey.

Next year, Turkey is counting on the growth of the tourist flow from Russia. Mr. Ilker Ozkan predicts an increase of the tourist flow from Russia to 6 million arrivals.

Positive dynamics, according to the expert, will be facilitated, among other things, by the expansion of tourist offers for Russians.

“We will work to open new interesting regions of Turkey for tourists, which have not yet been explored by them. I'm talking about Mesopotamia, Cappadocia and Izmir regions. There will be new tourist projects that will help Russians to discover unknown Turkey for themselves,” said Ilker Ozkan.
