Russia launches flights to Ecuador on May 16
From May 16, Russia lifts the restriction on regular and charter flights to Ecuador. The decision was made at a meeting of the operational headquarters, the press service of the government reports.
“The Operational Headquarters decided to remove restrictions on regular and charter flights from Russian airports (opened for international flights) to Ecuador from May 16, 2022,” the report says.
It also notes that from the same date restrictions on international flights will be lifted from the following Russian airports: Anadyr, Blagoveshchensk, Bratsk, Kurgan, Magas, Ostafyevo (Moscow Region), Petrozavodsk, Provideniya (Bay), Sabetta, Saransk, Simferopol, Ulyanovsk, Cheboksary, Elista and Yaroslavl.
According to the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, some companies offer tours to Ecuador, but nowadays there is not enough demand for organizing charter programs to this country.
Russian citizens do not need a visa to enter Ecuador. Travelers will need a vaccination certificate (Sputnik V approved) made no earlier than 14 days before entering the country, or a negative PCR test result (not older than 72 hours). Passengers are randomly tested for antigen upon arrival.
