Rosturizm: 2,7 million tourists visited Primorsky Krai in 2017
“Primorsky Krai was visited by 2.7 million tourists since the beginning of 2017, this is more than for the whole last year. I'm talking about tourists from Russia, but we must also take into account the significant incoming tourist traffic”, - said the Head of Rosturism Oleg Safonov.
O. Safonov also said that by the end of 2016 nine regions of the Far East were visited by 3.6 million tourists, which is 35% more than a year ago.
The Head of Rosturizm recalled that since August 1 of the current year the system of obtaining an electronic visa began to operate. Vladivostok was chosen as the pilot city. "The first thousand visas have already been issued, which is an important work, a breakthrough. After the experience of this system in Vladivostok will be finished, I hope that in the future, not so remote, the system of issuing electronic visas will be extended to other regions", - added O. Safonov.
Currently, citizens of 18 countries can obtain an electronic visa by specialized website. This can be done four days before visit. An electronic visa is issued free of charge, without any fees.
The citizens of Brunei, India, China, North Korea, Mexico, Singapore, Japan, Algeria, Bahrain, Iran, Qatar, Kuwait, Morocco, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Turkey can use the simplified visa system.
Simplified visa regime has been in effect since the beginning of August. From January 1, 2018, the application of the electronic visa will expand; with its help it will be possible to come to Kamchatka and the Sakhalin region.
