Qatar Airways may open new flights to Russia
Akbar al-Baker, the executive director of Qatar Airways group of companies, told that Qatar Airways may increase the frequency of flights from Doha to St. Petersburg, as well as open flights to two major Russian cities (in particular, to Vladivostok). The executive director noted that the carrier will consider a question of new flights, if the Russian Federation and Qatar sign an open skies agreement. “When we open a new rout, we do not arrange a daily regime. St. Petersburg is important for us, so we set a daily flight regime to Pulkovo. Firstly, we are looking for the possibility of replacing the aircraft with larger ones, and then, perhaps, we will increase frequency of flights to two times per day," he said. Along with Vladivostok, we are considering another major city in Russia, but don’t ask me about it yet. For the moment this is a secret,” added al-Baker.
