Popular destinations for Russians for the New Year holidays

Russian resorts are leading among popular destinations for the New Year holidays. More than a third of tourists plan to stay in the country. The average price for such a vacation is $ 994.

The second place is for the UAE (22%), and here the price for travel is already much higher - $ 3 443 on average. A trip to Egypt will cost a little less (12%) - $ 3 240 per tour.

10% of tourists are going to celebrate 2024 in Turkey; the average price for such a trip is $ 2 652. The most expensive destination for the New Year's weekend is Thailand. 9% of vacationers plan to visit this country; the average price for a trip to Southeast Asia is $ 4 403.

Last year, the distribution of popular destinations was almost the same. At the same time, travel prices have increased significantly over the year. For example, the cost of a trip to Egypt jumped from $ 2 145 to $ 3 240.

But even despite the rise in prices, analysts from the Travelata.ru service note a significant increase in sales: the number of bookings increased by 54% compared to the same period last year.

Russian tourists want to celebrate the New Year with maximum comfort, so they began to pay more attention to the ultra all-inclusive food system. The share of tours with such services has doubled compared to last year. However, breakfast remains the most popular food option.

During these New Year holidays, tourists began to book fewer tours to 5* hotels, but more often pay attention to ultra all-inclusive meals. Vacationers who decide to pay $ 3000 – 4 000 for a trip for two persons obviously want to avoid additional expenses during the trip.

But, despite rising prices, the number of trips is increasing. Already, bookings are 54% up compared to last year.
