Russian tourist flow to the Czech Republic in 2019 has increased. Against this positive background, tour operators are staging more programs with flights to Prague from the regions.
According to Czechtourism, in 2019, 10,8 million foreign tourists visited the Czech Republic, which is 2,6% more than in the previous year. In terms of the number of tourist arrivals, Russia is the sixth (5,19% of the entire entry market). Last year, nearly 565 thousand citizens of the Russian Federation visited the country. This is 3,78% more than in 2018.
Russian tour operators confirm positive trends in the Czech destination. According to them, in the past New Year holidays Prague has traditionally been one of the most popular European destinations. In general, tour operators are also pleased with the results of sales this year.
Thus, Tui Russia press service reported that the demand for tours to Prague has grown five times, and two times more tourists went to the Czech capital during the New Year holidays. Representatives of Biblio-Globus tour operator told about a 10% increase in demand, and Pac Group specialists told about a 5% increase. Intourist tour operator experts estimate demand in 2019 at the level of the previous year.
The Czech region, and especially Prague, in 2020 may increase demand due to tourists from the regions. According to tour operators, in 2020, tourists from the regions will have even more opportunities for traveling to the Czech Republic. Many destination players arrange tours to Prague not only on the basis of blocks, but also on the basis of dynamic packaging.
So, the tour operator Intourist offers GDS tours from 15 Russian cities. Pac Group has blocks of seats on the flights from Novosibirsk, Perm, Kazan, Samara, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar. GDS tours are available with departures from Moscow, St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg.
Russian Express plans to continue close cooperation with Czech Airlines on the basis of regular blocks from Moscow, Kazan and Rostov-on-Don.
In the 2020 season, Biblio-Globus performs its own flight program from Moscow to Prague on the wings of Rossiya Airlines.
