Russians spend the longest time in the Czech capital
The record of tourist flows for the summer of 2019 is marked by Prague and the Czech Republic as a whole. According to the Czech Statistical Office, almost 3 million tourists visited the country, which is 1,4% more than a year ago. Prague itself hosted 2,298 million tourists from July to September.
From July to September, the largest number of tourists in Prague, about 250 000, traditionally comes from Germany. The growth amounted to 8% percent compared to the same period last year. Germany is followed by Poland with 239 000 tourists (an increase is 15%) and Slovakia (233 000 guests).
Tourists from Russia were among those who spend the longest time in the Czech capital, an average - 3 nights. In the whole country, the number of Russian tourists accommodated in Czech hotels increased by 2,6%.
