TOP-10 most popular destinations for Russians for autumn

Tour operators named the most popular destinations of the autumn season-2019 according to the volumes of current bookings. As it was expected, Turkey occupies the leading position, but this year a list of top destination has some changes. This year the bookings of tours for the autumn season, according to tour operators, are 10-25% ahead of last year’s figures. As the tour operator Russian Express said, the sales for this period increased by 15-20%. Ics Travel Group has sales growth of 21%. Tui Russia reported about an increase in demand by 7-10% depending on the destination. According to Tez Tour, the demand increased by 26%. The press service of the tour operator Biblio-Globus said that their sales remain at the level of last year. 

The increase in demand for tours for the autumn season meets the general trends of recent years - the demand for tours is shifting to the beginning and the end of the season (the end of April - May and the second half of September – October). The reason is a solvency decrease of the Russian tourists, who are looking for ways to reduce the cost of the trip and choose periods when hotel prices are 20-30% lower than in high season. 

According to the forecasts of tour operators, in the autumn season, sales of last minutes tours will grow even more - due to the appearance of attractive discounts for accommodation, primarily on visa-free routes: Turkey, Tunisia, Cyprus and Israel.  Turkey, Russia, Tunisia, Spain and Cyprus - these destinations have become the best-selling products for the period September - October of this year. Also, the TOP-10 includes Italy, Montenegro, Greece, Thailand and Vietnam.  Among other popular destinations, the demand for which this autumn exceeds last year’s figures, experts named France, the Czech Republic, Cuba, the Maldives, Hainan and Sri Lanka.
