New tourist routes for Russians to appear in Venezuela

Venezuela and Russia have begun work on creating new tourist routes for Russian tourists.

“Gradually, Russian tourists are starting to explore the promising Venezuelan destination. The most popular so far is the island of Margarita, where about six thousand Russians arrived for vacation from September to December this year, including direct charter flights," said Russian Ambassador to Venezuela Sergei Melik-Bagdasarov.

The Venezuelan side is actively working together with Russian tour operators to expand the geography of routes. The main tasks are the launching of convenient connecting flights with domestic routes and the creation the resorts’ area for tourists visiting Venezuela who nowadays are vacationing in Cuba or the Dominican Republic.
