Vaccinated Russians will be able to visit Laos
Laos has decided to allow foreign tourists who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter the country from January 1.
“Laos has confirmed January 1, 2022 as the official opening date of the country to foreign tourists. According to a notification from the Prime Minister's Office, the Laotian Green Zone plan for travelers has been approved. The plan allows tourists to visit only permitted provinces and cities with favorable epidemiological conditions,” the Laotian Times reported.
The green zone includes the capital Vientiane, the tourist village of Van Vieng, the ancient capital of Luang Prabang, and the province of Sien Quang.
It is specified that Laos recognizes Sputnik V and Sputnik Light. To visit the country, tourists must present a certificate of vaccination, a negative result of a PCR test, made no earlier than 72 hours before boarding. For Russians who intend to stay in the country for less than 15 days, a visa is not required.
