Air traffic between Russia and Venezuela resumed
Air traffic between Russia and Venezuela has been resumed. After the restrictions imposed due to pandemic, the first flight to the country from Moscow departed on Monday, May 3, with 90 passengers on board. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Venezuela Ali Padron.
According to information from the carrier's booking system, Conviasa airline operated flights on a direct route from Vnukovo Airport to Caracas. Frequency of transportation is once every two weeks on Sundays. The return flight is operated on Fridays. The minimum cost of the flight is about $ 900 one way.
Before the coronavirus pandemic, there were no direct scheduled flights on this route. It was possible to get from Russia to Venezuela only with connecting flights. In March, the headquarters of the Russian Federation decided to add Venezuela to the list of countries opened for regular flights. To cross the border Russian citizens must provide a certificate with a negative PCR test for coronavirus.
In addition, the passenger must register on the website https://pasedesalud.casalab.com.ve/, and upon arrival undergo a re-paid test.
