Biblio-Globus will invest 46 million Euros in a subsidiary travel company in the UK
The tour operator Biblio-Globus decided to bring its subsidiary Biblio Travel to the UK tourism market and will allocate 46 million Euros for its development. This is stated in a message on the Biblio Travel website.
"The support from the parent company will be £ 41million. The new tour operator Biblio Travel will be launched in the UK in January 2021 and will be led by Managing Director Claire Tobin, former CEO of Olympic Holidays," the statement reports.
“Biblio-Globus is the largest host company in the Cyprus destination and the company will specialize in tours to Cyprus from the UK. This destination is very popular among British tourists. Biblio Globus annually serves about 475 thousand clients in Cyprus, which is about 25% of all tourists on the island”, notes Biblio Travel. In general, Biblio-Globus serves more than 3 million tourists a year.
The head office of the company will be located in Cyprus. It is planned that the company's clients will be able to fly from the airports of London, Manchester and Birmingham. At the same time, it is noted that in addition to the coronavirus pandemic the share of British tourists in the Cyprus market has recently decreased due to the bankruptcy of Thomas Cook last year.
