Moscow will host for the first time the FIJET Congress in late September.

In the period 22 - 26 of September 2016, the next FIJET Congress will be held in the capital of Russia with the support of Department of national policy, interregional relations and tourism of Moscow. FIJET is the International Federation of Journalists and Writers, who are writing about tourism. More than 150 participants from 30 countries of the world - international journalists and writers who are writing about tourism - have expressed their desire to participate in the Congress. During the Congress the participants will have not only the business program, but also sightseeing excursions, visits to the Kremlin and Cathedral Square, Christ the Saviour Cathedral complex. Additionally the gusts will take part at the opening ceremony of the largest annual light festival "Circle of light". In September 2015, Moscow was awarded a prestigious international prize of FIJET in the sphere of tourism "Golden Apple" - tourist analogue of Oscar. The capital received this award for its input in preservation of cultural and historical heritage, as well as for dynamic development of tourism. The representatives of the FIJET official delegation had come in Moscow for "Golden Apple" distribution. The delegation was headed by its president Tijani Haddad. Currently, the number of members of the FIJET Federation reached 800 persons who present more than 30 countries. "The Congress of such level held in Moscow for the first time, - said Tijani Haddad. – It is very important for FIJET that Russia is becoming a popular tourist destination, and readers around the whole world need to get out right information about Moscow, its history, culture and wonderful people".
