Mexico: more flights but the prices are stable

For this winter season the whole flight program to Mexico is 30% bigger than a year ago when there were 11 flights monthly. This year we have 14 flights because of the new flight program of Coral travel’s 3 flights monthly in cooperation with Royal Flight air company. Anex Tour and Pegast Touristik operators have the volumes of the previous season. Travel experts explain why the increase of flights number is not influencing the tours’ prices.
Last year there were several dates when it was possible to buy 7 nights’ tour for 2 persons to Cancun for 72 000 rubles (1125$). Now the tour for 29.10.19 from Moscow costs 101 000 rubles (1578$) in DBL room. Pegast Touristic CEO Anna Podgornaya describes this difference by high request for the destination. That is the result of several years’ work of all the operators. And Mexico has got rather good promotion among Russian tourists now. Some of them use to repeat the traveling to this country. That is possible thanks to good quality of the product. Carribean club director on tourism Lada Popelo supposes that 30% increase of the flights to Mexico will not cause large scale dumping. Probably the prices of tours on several dates of low season in second part of December and after the New Year holidays will be decreased.
