In 2020 Antalya is waiting for 6 million Russians
The Russian tourist flow to Antalya over the first 2 months of 2020 grew by almost 50% in annual terms.
The Department of Culture and Tourism of the Turkish province of Antalya has published statistics on foreign tourist flow since the beginning of the year. In January-February, almost 389 thousand foreign tourists visited the Antalya coast, which is 30% higher than the figure for the same period in 2019.
Russians are the leaders in entry tourism flow in Antalya: in January and February 103 thousand of them came at the resorts of Antalya. This is almost 50% more than it was in the same period last year. The share of the Russian market for the reporting period amounted to 31,4% - this is also a record for the winter months.
The German market also shows a high dynamics of arrivals in winter in Antalya: tourist flow increased by 35,4% and almost reached 100 thousand people. The top 5 markets of Antalya for January and February also included the United Kingdom (almost 17 thousand tourists), Poland (13 thousand) and Israel (12 thousand).
There has also been an increase in tourist arrivals from countries such as the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden, Iran, Jordan, Cyprus, Norway, Australia and Azerbaijan.
Last year, more than 5,5 million Russians visited Antalya resorts. The authorities of the Turkish province predict that the Russian tourist flow here will exceed 6 million people in 2020.
In general, Antalya is waiting for 18 million foreign tourists in 2020 (in 2019, foreign tourist flow amounted to 15 million people).
