Estimating time of the revival of tourism in Greece

The second half of 2021 will be the time of the revival of tourism in Greece. This forecast was announced by the country's profile minister Harry Theocharis.

Russian tourists can now fly to Greece, but in a strictly limited number. Greeks allow entry of no more than 500 Russian citizens per week on tourist visas if they have a negative coronavirus test, a hotel room reservation and an electronic permit (received in advance) for border crossing.

According to Vitaly Stamatov, CEO of the tour operator Ambotis Holidays, this regime was recently extended by the authorities until December 14. In general, the expert positively evaluates the forecast of the Minister of Tourism of Greece on the revival of the tourism industry in the second half of 2021.

“The main flow of tourists to Greece from the Russian Federation starts from June 1. So, this forecast suits us. Also, the vaccination, announced in Russia, will help us,” said Vitaly Stamatov.
