Tourists are looking for ways to fly to Greece

The news of Greece's intention to open flights to Russia from September 7, even in a limited format, is catching the interest of tourists in the destination. They literally attack travel agencies and tour operators with questions about how to fly to the country.

Representatives of the tourist industry report this in professional chats. According to Aviasales, the number of searches for tickets to Greece yesterday increased 8 times compared to the previous days. The easiest option for Russian tourists would be to fly through Turkey. “Since the country is opened for Russians, a route through Istanbul is the best.  But until September 15, air traffic between Greece and Turkey has been interrupted due to the political situation between the countries.

Flights are available via Switzerland (Zurich or Geneva). And also you can make a direct flight on business aviation.

“In addition, it was reported that Russia and Belarus intend to resume flights. Then there is an additory option to get to Greece through Minsk,” Anatoly Garkushin, general director of Pantheon tour operator, offers possible alternatives.

However, the Greek authorities may not allow Russians, who do not have a residence permit, to enter the country. According to the head of Tez Tour Greece, Dimitris Haritidis, the order of the local authorities applies only to tourists who will arrive from Russia by direct flights.

In turn, the CEO of Mouzenidis Travel Alexander Tsandekidi suggests to wait for the regulations approved by the two countries.
