Dubai plans to attract a million Russian tourists

Dubai over the past year hosted 728 thousand Russians - this is 7,4% more than a year earlier. Thus, Russia became the sixth country in terms of the number of tourists in Dubai among India, Saudi Arabia, Great Britain, Oman and China. In total, over the past year, the Emirate hosted 16,7 million foreign tourists, which was an absolute record, the press service of Dubai Tourizm reported.

In 2020, Dubai has every chance to get a million Russians. So, the general director of the tour operator Art-Tour Dmitry Arutyunov notes that the interest of Russians is increasing thanks to the year-round summer, a short flight (5 hours from Moscow), and also to completely different hotel formats, which continue to appear annually: “Dubai has every chance to get 20 million foreign tourists in 2020. For example, among young people in Dubai, 4* hotels with IT capabilities have become very popular, which makes the cost of accommodation affordable - from $ 70 per day per room." All of these encourage the tour operator to take blocks on all Emirates flights from October 2019 to May 31, 2020.

Tez Tour also notes that the demand for tours in the UAE for the summer of 2019 increased by 3 times compared to the same period last year. The popularity of the destination the tour operator explains by attractive prices for tour packages - for example, a weekly tour in 4* hotels is 374 Euros per person.

Observers also note that the extensive flydubai program - from nine regions of Russia - also contributes to maintaining interest for the Emirate. An important role is played by a rich business program. For example, from October 20, 2019 to April 10, 2020, the Emirate hosts the Expo 2020 Dubai exhibition, which was attended by representatives of 192 countries, including Russia.
