From June 7, Flydubai airline began to operate flights on the route Dubai — Sochi. This information was provided by the press center of the air carrier. Flights are operated jointly with Emirates Airlines. Aircraft Boeing-737-700 on this route will fly during the period of spring-summer navigation. The flights are operated twice a week on Mondays and Fridays, departure from Dubai is at 01:15, arrival in Sochi is at 04:10. The opposite route departure from Sochi is at 05:10, arrival in Dubai is at 10:00. 

Dubai-based airline Flydubai has announced on Tuesday the start of flights to Sochi starting from 07 June 2019, Gulf Business News reports.  Flights between Dubai and Sochi will operate twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, the company said. Flydubai will be the first carrier to offer direct flights on this route from the UAE and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The airline will also offer business class on the route. 

Flydubai airline canceled a part of its flights to Russia. This is stated in the message on the official website of the carrier on March 13.  The reason for this decision was the ban of the operation of Boeing 737 MAX8, issued by the UAE aviation authorities. The airline promises to contact by phone with those passengers whose flight is canceled to determine further action. If the call is not received, it means that the board was replaced by an older version of Boeing 737-800. Flight status can be checked independently on the carrier’s website. 

FlyDubai confirmed that it will begin daily flights to Dubai from Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport since October 31. Slots are convenient: departures from Moscow are at 06:25, from Dubai - at 00:55, which in fact gives tourists an extra day of rest. Let's note that Sheremetyevo will become the second point of departure from the capital for the Emirate carrier.

FlyDubai will increase the frequency of flights from International Airport Kurumoch (Samara) to Dubai up to 4 direct scheduled flights a week. In the winter schedule of Samara airport, which will come into force since October 29, 2017, the scheduled flights will be performed on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

“Dubai airline FlyDubai will perform flights from Dubai to Makhachkala and Voronezh according to the upcoming winter schedule and will resume flights to Ufa”, - informs the carrier's press service. Flights from Dubai to Makhachkala and Voronezh will be performed twice a week from October 31, 2017 and October 29, 2017, respectively.

The investigation of the criminal case over the crash of a Boeing passenger plane of the FlyDubai air carrier at Rostov-on-Don airport is nearing completion, spokesman for the Russian Investigative Committee Vladimir Markin said on Monday. "The Boeing crash criminal case is practically at the final stage," the official said on Vesti FM radio. A FlyDubai’s Boeing 737-800 crashed at Rostov-on-Don’s airport in the small hours on March 19 during a second attempt to land in complicated weather conditions of strong side wind and rain.

A total of 61 people, including the crew, who were on board a Boeing 737-800 passenger jet bound from Dubai, were killed in a crash in southern Russia’s Rostov-on-Don airport. "According to specified information, there were 55 passengers and six crew members on board," a source said. "According to preliminary data, the jet bound from Dubai crashed during runway approach," it said.
