Russian middle class is returning to the Emirates

For the first time since the opening of the UAE for tourists, budget tour packages to this country have finally appeared on the market - and from 4 Russian regions at once. The tour operator Russian Express has arranged such tours based on flights of the low-cost airline flydubai from Moscow, Samara, Kazan and Yekaterinburg. Now the prices for tours to the Emirates have dropped by 30-50%.

The market was waiting for the start of budget regular air transportation, and hotels of the 3 and 4* level were not in high demand among tourists. Since the beginning of April, flydubai has announced flights from several Russian cities.

So, on April 3, flydubai launched its flight program to Dubai from Moscow (5 flights per week: on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays).

This week there will also be flights from other regions - Yekaterinburg (on Sundays), Kazan (on Saturdays) and Samara (on Sundays). Next in line are Mineralnye Vody and Rostov-on-Don, where the airline is waiting for flight permits. Russian Express became one of the first tour operators to take blocks of seats on flights from all the listed cities.

Due to the limited number of opened countries and the start of flydubai's flight program, the demand for destinations during the summer season continue to be high compared to the pre covid period.

With these flights, Russian Express analysts foresee an expansion of the range of less expensive hotels - 3 and 4*, as well as budget hotels in Sharjah, Ras- al-Khaimah and Fujairah.

According to the specialists of "Russian Express", nowadays, in the greatest demand among Russian tourists in the UAE are beach hotels based on different types of food - from "breakfasts" to "all inclusive". The most requested tour duration is from 7 to 10 nights.
