Dubai changes the timing of PCR tests for Russians
Russian tourists who are going on vacation to the emirate of Dubai, from February 3, will have to receive a negative PCR test no earlier than 48 hours before departure. That is, the validity of the PCR test is reduced by a day.
“Passengers whose destination is Dubai are required to have a negative PCR test done no earlier than 48 hours before departure,” Emirates airline reported.
Space Travel operator confirmed this information: from February 3, 2022, all passengers flying from Russian cities to Dubai on flydubai and Emirates flights must provide a printed certificate with a negative PCR test result for COVID-19 (in English or Arabic language) made no earlier than 48 hours before departure. However, the company noted that earlier the 48-hour rule was in effect for certain air carriers, for example, Aeroflot and Nordwind.
The rest of the rules of entry do not change. Upon arrival in Dubai, passengers are re-tested (free of charge) and must self-isolate until they receive a negative result. Children under 12 years of age do not need a PCR test.
Passengers who travel from Russia through Dubai and do not leave the airport during the connection should be guided by the entry requirements of the country of destination.
