Abu Dhabi authorities tightened entry rules for Russian tourists
In mid-January, the Emirate of Abu Dhabi excluded Russia from the "green" list of countries. For unvaccinated tourists, 10-day quarantine was introduced. For the vaccinated, the number of mandatory PCR tests upon arrival was increased: first one free at the airport upon arrival, and then two more tests - on the 4th and 8th day in the emirate.
“All tourists traveling across the land border from Dubai to Abu Dhabi are now required to present an activated AlHosn application or a PCR test result made in the UAE no earlier than 96 hours before entering the emirate,” the press service of the tour operator Tui Russia informed.
Tourists, vaccinated with Sputnik V for a flight to Abu Dhabi, must provide a printed negative PCR test in English, made 48 hours before departure. Another free PCR test must be made at Abu Dhabi Airport. The result will come via SMS within an hour and a half.
For a return flight from Abu Dhabi, tourists have to provide the result of a PCR test made no earlier than 72 hours before departure. The test must be done in the UAE. Check-in for a flight without test will be denied.
