On August 11, 2015 in Bejing at the Russian Centre of Science and Culture, the first stage of the road show Visit Russia takes place, organized by the Federal Agency for Tourism. The representatives of the Russian Embassy in China, the State Administration of Tourism of China and the Chinese Academy of Tourism will address welcoming speeches to the participants and guests of the event.
Road show Visit Russia intended to make a significant contribution to the promotion of the tourist potential of Russia in China, to demonstrate professional opportunities of the Russian destinations and to increase understanding of the country as a promising tourist market. The event, which will take place on August 11 will be held in the framework of the test operation of the Beijing office of the tourist representation of Russia Visit Russia, which began operations in the summer of 2015.
The importance of a series of road shows in China due to the high activity of outbound tourism in China, going through a stage of dynamic development. China is the leader of tourism in Russia, in 2014, residents of China made more than 1,125,000 visits to Russia, where more than 400 thousand of them for tourism purposes. In the first half of 2015 the growth of tourist arrivals in the framework of an agreement on visa-free travel group was about 2.3 times, from 45 thousand in the first half of 2014 to 103 thousand in the same period in 2015.
Road show Visit Russia is an initiative of the Federal Tourism Agency in major cities in China to strengthen cooperation between Russian and the Chinese tourism industry, increasing tourist arrivals from China to Russia and the development of tourism in our country. The first stage of the road show will take place on August 11, 2015 in Beijing, the next stages will be held in Shanghai (September 7), Beijing (October 12), Taipei (November 6) and Hong Kong (24 November).
