Tourist office of Mexico in Moscow stops its work
“The National Tourist Office of Mexico in Moscow stops its work”, - reported the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR). "In the letter to Russian tour operators, signed by the charge d'affaires of the Embassy of Mexico in Russian Federation, it is reported that the office, which was opened in November 2014, ceases its work due to technical reasons", - informed ATOR. The Russian market will be overseen now by London office, as well as by employees of the Mexican Embassy in Moscow. According to the Federal State Statistics Service, in 2014 Mexico was visited by 62 thousand tourists from Russia. In 2015, their number decreased by half - 31.9 thousand people. In 2016, the tourist flow fell by 87%, amounted only 4.2 thousand people.
