Tourist flow to the Crimea has grown by 25% since the beginning of the year
“In the first nine months of 2016 4.895 million tourists rested in the Crimea, which is 24.2% higher than in the same period of 2015”, - said in the Ministry of resorts and tourism of the region.
"On the Southern coast of Crimea 43% of tourists have rested, on the West Coast - 33.5%, on the East - 18.5% and in the other regions - 5%", - added in the Ministry.
From the beginning of the year 1.116 million tourists rested at hotels facilities. In September, the average load of recreation houses, health resorts and hotels amounted 48.2%.
The majority of travelers (42%) arrived to the Crimea on the ferry across the Kerch Strait, which separates the peninsula and "mainland" of Russia. 40% - used the air transport. The rest (18% of tourists) - other types of transport.
Crimean Ministry of Tourism is waiting for 6 million travelers in 2016 (in the last year there were 4.6 million).
