Tour operators predict growth of demand for the Seychelles
Aeroflot has started selling tickets to the Seychelles on the Moscow-Mahe route. Direct flights are announced from October 8 on Mondays and Saturdays.
Earlier, Aeroflot operated direct flights to the Seychelles from April 2021 to mid-March 2022. At the time of the suspension of flights, the national carrier flew to Mahe four times a week.
Thanks to the launch of direct flights, the Russian tourist flow to the Seychelles in 2021 increased by 2,5 times, up to 31,4 thousand trips. Russia has become the number one of source tourist market for this island nation.
Tour operators agree: direct transportation to the Seychelles will increase the number of bookings by at least 20-30%. Tourists will not be deterred even by the high cost of air tickets.
According to Pac Group experts, it is direct flights that are an important incentive for a certain audience of tourists to plan a trip. Pac Group believes that Aeroflot flights will increase demand for the Seychelles destination by at least 25%.
As Space Travel experts add, direct transportation will increase interest for the Seychelles, primarily from family tourists with children. “Now connecting flights for this audience of travelers are too tedious and time-consuming, direct flights are very interesting for them,” Space Travel concludes.
As per tour operators, the current demand for the Seychelles is good: there are bookings even without direct flights for September and October, and some applications are received for the New Year.
According to Anex Tour, the cost of a tour to the Seychelles in early October to a 4* hotel, BB with Ethiopian Airlines starts from $ 4 032 for two persons (8 nights at a hotel, plus a night on the road). A similar tour for the New Year holidays costs from $ 6 847 with flights on Emirates.
