Tour operators launch new charters to Phu Quoc Island
In the winter season 2019-20 two leading federal tour operators will launch charter flights to the island of Phu Quoc in Vietnam. The direct flights to this Vietnamese resort are already planned from 10 cities of Russia (instead of 6 last year). For the first time, a flight will appear with business class.
The Vietnamese destination in the winter season of this year will grow. This is evidenced by the plans of two players on the destination - tour operators ANEX Tour and Coral Travel.
As in the previous year, Phu Quoc Island will be the fastest growing resort in terms of the volume of tourist traffic. This year both tour operators will continue to fly there, but they plan to increase their volumes and the level of provided service.
According to ANEX Tour, in the upcoming winter season the tour operator plans to increase volumes to Vietnam by 17%, and the charter program to Phu Quoc Island will grow by more than half against last year’s one. The flight program of the tour operator on the boards of AZUR Air starts in late October - early November (depending on the city of departure - from 27.10 to 05.11) and is planned until the end of April.
Blagoveshchensk, Kemerovo, Tomsk and Vladivostok will be added to the six cities of departure that were last year (Khabarovsk, Krasnoyarsk, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg and Irkutsk).
“Starting since November 1, the frequency of departures from Moscow will be 6 flights a month. For the new regions the frequency is on average 3 flights per month,” reported Alena Khitrova, the head of the PR department of ANEX Tour.
On the rout to Phu Quoc, for the first time Coral Travel will fly on Boeing-777 of Royal Flight airline with business and economy class seats. The flight program of Coral Travel in the winter season is planned only from Moscow and starts on 17.10.2019 (it will last until 14.05.2020), the frequency of departures is 1 time each 10 day.
ANEX Tour and Coral Travel will remain “monopolists” of charters on the destination to Phu Quoc - PEGAS Touristik, TUI Russia, Intourist and Biblio-Globus tour operators reported that they have no charters to Phu Quoc in their flight plans for the upcoming winter season.
