Tour operators expect further growth of demand for Varadero

Varadero resort finished 2017 with a record 1.7 million foreign tourists. The Russian incoming market was among the three most active ones. In 2017 the Russian tourist traffic to Cuba for the first time exceeded 100 thousand people (+67% against 2016) which is a historical maximum. The leading tour operators say that the demand for tours to Varadero in 2017 has increased significantly. According to ANEX Tour, the demand for this Cuban resort grew by 40-45% in comparison with 2016. High demand for the direction is connected with stable currency exchange rate of Russian Ruble, the general trend of increasing interest of our tourists to more expensive long distance destinations and a variety of flight programs in this direction", - said the representative of Biblio Globus. Now the depth of sales of tours to Varadero reaches the autumn of 2018. According to tour operators, demand for tours remains high. The average price for the tours in 2018 with air transportation and accommodation in 4-5 stars hotels is 125 thousand Rubles ($ 2220) per person.
