Tour operators began selling tours to Thailand on direct flights

Aeroflot, which added flights to Phuket last week, has launched ticket sales to this popular Thai island on July 27.

According to the Aeroflot website, the start of the flight program from Moscow to Phuket is scheduled for October 30. Flight frequency is daily. The price of the flight is $ 900 one way and $ 1 234 RT per person.

In the future the number of flights to Thailand from Russia may increase. The head of the commercial division of the tour operator Intourist, Philip Obruchev-Mironov, said that according to information that comes from various sources, the number of Aeroflot flights to Thailand (not only to Phuket, but also to Bangkok) can reach 3-5 flights per day.

Tour operators already offer tours in their booking systems based on this transportation. Now we are talking only about GDS-tours.

Prices for tours to Thailand with a flight on Aeroflot are higher than for tour packages arranged on the basis of connecting flights. For example, the cost of a weekly tour to Thailand with a flight on Aeroflot is at the level of $ 3 130 for two persons.

“The same tour, but with a flight of Etihad Airways or Qatar Airways, can be bought for $ 2 557. That is almost $ 581 cheaper,” said representative of Intourist.

But, despite the difference in price, experts say, Aeroflot tours will certainly be in demand.
