Tour operator "Intourist" consolidates business

“The board of directors of Intourist-Thomas Cook joint venture has decided to consolidate all types of tour operator activity in one company - Intourist Tour Operator”, - reported the press service of the company. "The rapid growth of volumes in the segments of incoming, out coming and internal tourism requires fundamentally new organizational and technological solutions. In this regard, in order to improve the quality of service and efficiency, the board of directors of Intourist-Thomas Cook joint venture decided to merge the tour operator activity within the framework of a single tour operator. LLC "Tour Operator Intourist" will carry out all types of tour operator activities in abroad, incoming, internal and corporate spheres", - informed the press service. As it was underlined in the company, Victor Topolkaraev, the former Head of the Intourist's internal and abroad tourism activities, was appointed as a General Director of the Intourist Tour Operator. The company will also continue its work as a distribution link and will focus on sales of tourist products, its marketing support and promotion, work with travel agencies and end-users. “The plans of the unified structure for 2018 include the increasing of the volume of out coming, incoming and internal tourism, the opening of new mass and individual destinations (Japan, Iran, Morocco, Tunisia, etc.), the development of new products and excursions for domestic tourism, organization of new routes for foreign tourists in the regions of Russia”, - stressed the press service.
