The tourists flow from Russia to Dominican Republic in January 2017 increased by 136%
“The tourist flow from Russia to Dominican Republic in January 2017 amounted 20.5 thousand people, which is 136% more than in the same month a year ago”, -said in the press service of the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic.
Despite the decline of 2014-2015 due to the economic difficulties, the flow of tourists from Russia to Dominican Republic has grown by a record 97% in 2016.
“For the period from January to December 2016, 132.6 thousand Russian tourists came to Dominican Republic, which is 65.4 thousand more than the year before”, - the press service reported.
"We have every reason to believe that the dynamics will be steadily rising. In 2016, the figures of the tourist flow from Russia began to approach the pre-crisis figures. With the preservation of the volumes of transportation, we expect the growth of the tourist flow by approximately 20-30%," – said the director of the representation of theTourism Ministry of Dominican Republic in Russia, Ukraine and CIS countries Galina Lysenko.
