The tourist flow to Kamchatka reserves grew by almost a third
“The number of tourists visiting the Kronotsky Reserve and the South Kamchatka Federal Reserve in summer 2016 has grown by almost a third compared with the last summer”, - said in the administration of "Kronotsky State Nature Reserve".
"Compared to the tourist season of the last year, the number of visitors of the Kronotsky Reserve and the South Kamchatka Federal Reserve has increased by 2100 tourists and amounted 9,800 people. We continue improving the infrastructure and logistics, prepare for outgoing changes of Kamchatka as a tourist destination for the purpose to increase the number of tourists visiting the protected areas and, at the same time - to remain the nature in its original state", - said the head of the Kronotsky Reserve Tikhon Shpilenok.
“In the last tourist season almost 2.5 thousand foreign travelers were among visitors of the Kronotsky Reserve and the South Kamchatka Federal Reserve”, - added in the report.
