The Russian Ambassador to Cuba named the expected number of Russian tourists

Cuba expects to accept about 100 000 Russian tourists, more than twice as many as last year. This was stated by the Russian Ambassador to the Island of Freedom. He also said that Cuba is calling on Aeroflot to launch another flight to the country - this time to the capital of Cuba, Havana.

“For half a year there were 66 thousand tourists from Russia. This year, we can probably predict about 100 000 tourists from Russia to Cuba,” said Mr. Coronelli.

He noted that in the “most successful” year for Cuban tourism in 2019, the number of tourists “was over 200 thousand”, and last year with all its bans there were only 40 thousand.

At the same time, he called on Aeroflot to launch another flight to Cuba.

From July 1, 2023, direct flights of Rossiya airline, Aeroflot's subsidiary, flew to Cuba in Varadero. According to the official networks of the carrier, flights are scheduled twice a week: on Thursdays and Saturdays. And in September their number will be increased to three.
