The number of Russians in Abu Dhabi has increased by 70%
According to the Office of Tourism and Culture of Abu Dhabi, in April this year the number of tourists from Russia increased by 70%, and the number of nights increased by 86% against the same month of the last year. A comparative analysis of statistical data over the past 4 years has shown that April 2017 figures not only reached the pre-crisis (2014) level, but exceeded it (by visitors + 28%, by nights + 13%). These facts indicate that the situation on the Russian tourist market is stabilizing. "The interest of tourists to UAE is growing rapidly, it is connected with both state support of this direction (cancelation of visas for Russians) and with actively developing tourism infrastructure of the country. We, in turn, try to tell our partners and tourists about the benefits of recreation at Abu Dhabi resorts and participate in a variety of educational activities that promote the region. I am sure that these figures are just the beginning, and we hope to maintain the growing trend", -said Eduard Grigoriev Director of the office of the Abu Dhabi Department for Tourism and Culture in Russia and CIS.
