Thailand extended the period of visa-free stay for Russians to 60 days, the extension will cost Russian citizens $51. Interfax reports this with reference to the Russian Consulate General in Phuket.
“By the order of the head of the immigration service of Thailand, a new procedure for extending the period of temporary stay in the Kingdom for Russian citizens is introduced. From this date, Russian citizens who arrived in Thailand with a 30-day visa-free can extend their stay by an additional 30 days,” the message says.
Previously, extension was possible only for 7 days.
According to the management of the Immigration Service of Phuket Province, to extend the period of stay, Russians only need to apply the immigration service with a passport and an application. The cost of the service is $51.
