In September, Russians took the first place in the number of tourists arriving by air to the Thai island of Phuket, the immigration service reports.

“The report on arrivals by air for September showed that Russians topped the list of arrivals to Phuket with figure of 40,2 thousand. They were followed closely by China (37,3 thousand). Australia (21,1 thousand) closed the top three. The top 5 also includes India (18,9 thousand) and Malaysia (13,1 thousand),” the publication writes.

According to statistics from the immigration service, a total of 242,8 thousand foreign tourists arrived by air in Phuket in September. Another 22,3 thousand travelers traveled by sea, mostly these are citizens of Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India and the Philippines.
