According to Monaco statistic department of Tourism and Congresses the number of nights booked by Russians during the period from January 2019 is 42 264 and that is 5,4% more than in 2018. So, Russia is on the fifth place according to tourists’ number in Monaco after France, Great Britain, Italy and USA.

“Russia is on the fifth position among countries which tourists came to Monaco in the 1 quarter of 2018. Russian tourists booked 7,5 thousand nights in the hotels of Monako”, - informed the press service of Monaco Office of Tourism and Congresses. "According to data for 2018, in Monaco Russian travelers occupy the fifth line among foreign tourists. Tourists from Russia are after French, English, Germans and Americans ones.

“The tourist flow from Russia to Monaco continued to grow in 2018. Since the beginning of the year the increase of the number of Russians amounted 10%”, - said the Deputy Director of the Tourism Authority of Monaco Guy Antonelli.

“The Russian tourist flow to Monaco increased by one third in the first quarter of 2017 against the same period of the last year”, - reports the Department of Tourism and Congresses of Monaco. The number of nights booked by tourists from Russia in the first quarter of 2017 amounted more than 7.3 thousand, which is 33.5% more than in the same period of 2016. Statistics show that the tourist market from Russia is gradually stabilizing and reaching the pre-crisis positions.

“The Russian tourist flow to Monaco increased by 50% in January and February 2017. Russia is on the fifth position by this indicator among the other countries”, - said the President of the Department for Tourism and Congresses of Monaco Guillaume Roses. "In the fourth quarter of 2016 the number of nights booked by tourists from Russia was 5 810, which is 9% more than in the same period of 2015. And just for the first two months of 2017 - January and February - the incoming tourist flow from Russia to Monaco has grown by 50%.

Tourist flow from Russia to Monaco in 2014 decreased by 4%, the management of Monaco Tourist and Convention Center reported. So, if in 2013 the number of overnights of guests from Russia amounted to 66.3 thousand, then in 2014 the figure was 63.7 thousand. The representative of the Tourist Center pointed out that French Riviera only lost about 15% of Russian tourists in the last year. At the same time on certain destinations, decline reached 50%, due to the economic crisis.
