The tourist flow from Russia to Monaco grew by a third in the first quarter of 2017

“The Russian tourist flow to Monaco increased by one third in the first quarter of 2017 against the same period of the last year”, - reports the Department of Tourism and Congresses of Monaco. The number of nights booked by tourists from Russia in the first quarter of 2017 amounted more than 7.3 thousand, which is 33.5% more than in the same period of 2016. Statistics show that the tourist market from Russia is gradually stabilizing and reaching the pre-crisis positions. The Vice President of the Department of Tourism and Congress of Monaco Guill Antonelli noted that in 2016 the number of Russian tourists decreased by 9% in comparison with the previous year. By the end of 2017, in Principality of Monaco it is expected that the tourist flow from Russia will grow by 10-15%. In 2016 totally 890,706 tourists from all over the world visited Monaco, the leader is France - 151 157 tourists, on the second place is UK - 112 613 people, Russia is on the fifth place - 46 411.
