“S7 Airlines launches direct scheduled flights from Moscow to Reykjavik from June 9, 2018. Departures from Domodedovo airport will be performed weekly on Saturdays by Boeing 737-800 liners”, - informed press service of the carrier. The airline explained its decision by the growing demand for the direction among Russians and concern for the Icelandic fans of the World Cup. According to Elena Kuznetsova, the Director of the Scandinavian department of Quinta Tour, the demand for Iceland really increases every year.

Popular movies directly affect the choice of trip destination. For example, after run of The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, the requests of Russians for hotels and flights to Iceland (where the main character performed by Ben Stiller) increased almost double.
