Russian tourist flow to Tenerife showed an increase of 23%

In February 2019, the total flow of tourists from all over the world to Tenerife increased by 6%. The growth rate of Russian tourist traffic exceeds the average level and amounted to 23% during the winter months. Such information was presented by Visit Tenerife. 

In total, in February 2019, Tenerife’s island was visited by 455,000 tourists, and the total number of nights increased by 3,4 percent compared to last year. On average, the duration of travel on the island is 7-8 days. According to statistics from inbound tourism, the hotel occupancy in February was equal to 68.4%. 

As for the Russian tourist traffic, the first months of 2019 showed an increase in traffic by 23%. One of the reasons for the growth in demand is regular air traffic between Russia and Tenerife. Thanks to the latest changes in the flight program of airlines, the number of seats has doubled since autumn 2018.
