Russian airlines will increase air transportation to Caribbean direction
The NordWind airline asked Rosaviatsia for permission for regular flights from Moscow to the Cuban cities of Santa Clara and Camagüey, the frequency in both cases - twice a week. As Anna Pidgornaya the General Director of Pegas Touristik explained the tour operator intends to use these flights in tour packages to Cuba in winter season - 2018/2019. In addition, a part of the seats on the boards NordWind airline will sell independently. The Pegasus website already offers a winter flight program to Cuba: Varadero airport - twice a week, Holguin and Cayo Coco - once in 10 days. Thus, Santa Clara and Camagüey can become the fourth and fifth places of tourists' delivery to Cuba from this tour operator. In addition, for the winter season ANEX Tour declared Azur Air flights to Varadero - twice a week and to Cayo Coco – once in ten days. The remaining players of the direction still offer tour packages on the basis of Aeroflot’s regular flights, which, by the way - has reduced the winter frequencies of Moscow-Havana flight from daily to 5 times a week. However, due to NordWind flights, the total volume of transportation to Cuba will increase. On another Caribbean direction, Mexico, an additional four flights a week on the Moscow-Cancun line were requested by Azur Air.
